Comfortably numb...

Yesterday was a bit depressing really. I had to once again play in the LPW a song called 'Easy Lover' by Phil Collins. Not a hard song, but when it's your first time playing it, you will mess up. So anyway, listening to other peoples performance and there all going great and smoothly mainly because they had rehearsed with they're bands etc. Last week I did get a bassist number but we never organised a rehearsal, you'll find out why later. So anyway, I was second from last to play, we got up and a bassist was really happy, never seen him before. I said

'So, you wanna go sit down or...what?'

'Na, i'm in our band'

'Really?'

'Ye, don't ya remember?'

'...ooh ye'

I didn't remember.

So I looked into the audience and found out that I got the phone number of another bassist. I must of looked so gay asking for a random boys number.

So my band, considering we had no rehearsal played the song, it didn't go too bad I suppose, could of gone worse but still the ending was pretty bad. Oh well, not much I can do now.

Came home and waited for Matt, we ordered Indian and it was tasty. I then asked him if he just wanted to go out for a few drinks down the union bar. He said no, I was annoyed. really felt like going out and socialising.

It came to 11 and I watched the whole IT crowd second series. Love that show. Matt was playing Comfortably numb solo and asked me if I wanted a go. I couldn't do it basically, so I got my acoustic and done the backing chords behind the solo. We then created a drum track on Cubase and made our own lil song. It was great!!

Bit of a depressing day really...
